These are great. I am a Vegetarian now so I have not had gummy bears for decades. I noticed that these did not have gelatin in them so I purchased a bag to see if I liked them. They taste great and I kept wanting to eat more. I really like the orange ones. They taste like real fruit. The picture on the bag shows vibrant colors. There are no blue, green, or red bears included. They are all coated with flour or sugar. There is a yellow lemon one called citrus, an orange one, and a purple one. I did not think that there were any strawberry ones in my bag but they look very close to orange and you would not know by tasting them that they were strawberry. I still have a few left and I went to try to reorder them but they were out of stock so I am disappointed. I will check back again. I would like to purchase more if they become available once again.

Best plant based gummies and gummies that we ever had

First time trying vegan gummies and I liked them. They have a good “bite” to them – not too soft and not too hard. They also don’t stick to your teeth.Taste wise, it’s hard to tell the individual flavors apart unless you try out each color side by side. They all give off a citrus taste with the purple and orange ones having a slightly more distinct flavor over the yellow and peach colored ones. I like that these aren’t super sweet. Definitely don’t expect these to taste like other gummy bears or you will be disappointed. Also, the product packaging also shows red, blue, and green bears but the only colors in the bag were yellow, orange, peach, and purple, so that was confusing.Other things to note: They are free from many types of allergens and don’t include corn syrup. Each serving is 5 pieces and 67 calories. The gummies are a bit tinier than the usual gelatin gummy bears.I’d definitely give these a try if you are craving gummy bears but can’t have gelatin.

Do I recommend these Freedom Confectionery Vegan Gummi Mojis for 10 bucks?Yes, I think so. They are very good for what they are, regarding both taste and texture. For the record, I am neither vegan nor vegetarian. In other words, these are good for everyone (assuming no ingredient allergies), not specifically just for vegans/vegetarians.Both the taste and texture are excellent. They are fairly sweet, as you would expect, but have a bit of tartness that really adds to the overall flavor profile. I wouldn’t call these “sour” gummies, but instead sweet gummies with a bit of tartness. It’s more than a “hint” of tartness, but still much less than typical “sour” gummy candies. While I personally like the balance, others might hope for more sour/tartness.The texture is nice with a decent “chew factor,” and the exterior coating of sugar crystals adds a bit of variety to the mouthfeel. I really like it.Each gummy is a bit larger than your typical gummy candy. See my picture for scale; for reference, I wear size small gloves. All the ingredients appear to be as minimally processed and “natural” as you can get for a gummy candy. Despite being natural ingredients, these are by no means “healthy.” These are candy, so don’t try to convince yourself that eating a bag of these is OK…heheIn terms of potential allergens, Freedom Confectionery seem to go out of the way to reduce these to as near-zero of the most common ones as possible. Definitely commendable as this is *incredibly hard* and expensive due to supply chains, manufacturing techniques, etc.Regarding value, I wish you got a bit more for the 10 bucks. 6oz feels a bit measly; 10oz (or more) would feel more appropriate. It is frustrating that foods (and candy) with minimally processed and natural ingredients are significantly more expensive than the alternatives. But then again, when considering the effort Freedom Confectionery took to make these allergen-free and use natural ingredients, the price actually makes sense. Given the manufacturing and supply chain constraints, I am almost surprised they aren’t more expensive.Price and quantity aside, I think these are a great treat for anyone who likes gummy candies.

  5. Lolz

I recently tried the Freedom Confectionery Gummi Mojis, and they are a total game-changer for anyone looking for high-quality vegan sweets. It’s often hard to find a plant-based gummy that nails the texture, but these have a fantastic chew without the need for gelatine. What I loved:Inclusive Snacking: Since they are gluten-free, allergen-free, and vegan, I can share them with all my friends regardless of their dietary restrictions.Natural Flavors: You can really taste the quality. They don’t have that “artificial” chemical aftertaste you find in many big-brand candies.Fun Shapes: The emoji designs are adorable and make them a great conversation starter or a fun gift for kids and adults alike.Perfect Size: The 6oz bag is the ideal “sharing size,” though they are so good you might want to keep them all to yourself!Whether you’re vegan or just looking for a cleaner candy alternative, these are a must-buy. Highly recommended!

  6. Andrew|Andrew

I wasn’t sure what I was getting into when I ordered clean vegan gummy bears, but I was hoping for a healthier alternative to some of the other sugar filled sweets on the market, and I think this one did okay! These are by no means a diet candy and do have sugar in them, but it’s nice to have cleaner ingredients surrounding the sugar. They have a good taste to them no matter the flavor you pick out. They aren’t the typical gummy texture. I would say these are like if regular gummy bears and marshmallows had a baby. They remind me more of marshmallows as I eat them.Overall, pretty good! Not my favorite gummy bear I’ve ever had, but pretty good. Especially if you’re vegan.

  7. Customer Review|Customer Review

These gummy bears are pretty good. The chew is mild but satisfying. The sweetness level is not overbearing but still satisfies a craving for something sweet. That said, they do have a ton of sugar per serving and a serving is only 5 bears…which isn’t nearly enough.I found the flavors to be underwhelming. The 2 berries flavors were not really discernable from each other by taste; they were just kind of vaguely berry-like. The same was also true for the citrus and orange; they had the slight tanginess, but were very similar and generic. The packaging displays bright, vivid gummy bears, but the actual candies are duller and less exciting. That’s not surprising given that these use natural coloring, but the package feels out of line with the product. Finally, these gummies are a really poor value at around $10 for 6oz of gummies. There is a lot of talk about all the allergens that aren’t included in these gummies…but basically all of them aren’t in “regular” gummies anyways. These are special in that they’re vegan so they don’t use gelatin and also that they use natural colors and flavors, but the other allergen claims feel disingenuous and overblown.

  8. enchantedtree|enchantedtree

Thee gummies are good, but the packaging is a bit misleading. i was looking forward to trying the blue and green, which are my favorite flavors of other brands of gummies. My package only contained orange, peachy pink, yellow and purple. The colors are very muted, not bright at all. The gummies are free from so many allergens that i would think they are free from artificial colors too, but it doesn’t actually say it anywhere on the package. That being said, the flavor of these plant based gummies is good. The texture is also really good. Everyone in my family loved these. The back of the packaging shows a whole list of allergens the product is free from, so they are classroom friendly. They are also vegan/vegetarian friendly, pku suitable, halal and kosher. As a plant based, allergen free gummies these are some of the best i have tried. Price is a bit high for a bag of gummies, but for a product free from so many allergens and school friendly the price is probably average. Healthier food always seems to cost more.

  9. TRex|TRex

These gummies have an impressive ingredients list. The texture is spot on, exactly where I like my gummies. The fact they are so friendly to a large number of diets is fantastic. Vegan/vegetarian friendly are all great additions that you don’t normally see in gummies. The yellow ones are FANTASTIC, the perfect amount of sour and sweet with the perfect chewy consistency. My only problem with them is they’re very sweet. It may be a bonus for some people but I really prefer sour gummies. Just my own personal preference was the reason for the 4 stars, otherwise these gummies knocked it out of the park for their ingredients and texture.

  10. Katie|Katie

I am not personally a vegan, but do have people close to me who are and so I appreciate when I find vegan gummy candy like these. I like that the ingredients are free of so many allergens. I think that they taste good, but do have a different texture than typical gummy candy. I like the raspberry ones the best, but one of my kids prefers the lemon. I find the orange to also be yummy, but am only so-so on the strawberry. My kids and I also enjoy the different shapes, especially the ‘thumbs up’ emoji. The gummy pieces are larger than a typical gummy bear (maybe 2-3x the size). One serving consists of 4 gummy pieces and contains 17 grams of sugar, so I have to remind myself to only eat a few at once. These are more expensive than a regular ‘fruit snack’, but I think it’s worth it for those wanting something vegan and/or allergy friendly.

  11. E. Schmitt|E. Schmitt

While these aren’t intended for my particular food sensitivities, they do seem to cover quite a few different ones. I found these tasty and soft and quite sweet. The three colors of bears each have a different flavor. The flavors are good and quite strong. I found the gummies a little softer and less chewy than the classic ones, but they were still delicious and easy to eat. I did find them a little sweeter than the classic ones, but not overly sweet.I love that these gummies are made with fewer allergens to allow more people to enjoy candies occasionally. I’m sure that’s the reason they’re more expensive, so I can’t really make a price comparison or discuss value for money on these.

  12. Stina

I am very much *not* vegan, but these are quite tasty! They are large and the texture is pleasant and enjoyable….more firm than gummy bears, but still “springy” and not too sticky. I would *not* describe them as sour, though they are labeled as such…..the outer coating has a *little* bit of tartness, but nothing like I expected or like, say, popular child shaped gummies It’s nice that they are free of all common allergens and are halal and kosher so just about anyone can eat them. They don’t have any health beneficial ingredients, they’re really just a treat that’s safe for the vast majority of people. I do think they are quite pricey though

  13. exaltata

I don’t eat a lot of gummy candy because they often have a lot of artificial ingredients, but these are much better than most in that regard. They are colored with ingredients made from fruits and vegetables, and some of the flavoring comes from real fruits too. I liked that the texture was chewy without being rubbery, and the taste was sweet without being overly sugary. The lemon and orange flavors both came through very clearly, but the others just had a generic fruit flavor that I couldn’t identify. I didn’t detect a hint of sourness, which surprised me because they are called sour on the bag; I was expecting a sweet and sour combination and got only the sweetness.

  14. Dr. G

These gummies are really tasty… the best way to describe them is sweet and mellow. The reason I am giving them 4 stars instead of 5 is because these are specifically labeled as “sour” and there is literally zero sour flavor in these gummies. There is a sugar-like coating, but it is not at all sour. The four flavors (strawberry, raspberry, lemon and orange) are all delicious and the gummies are fresh with the right amount of “chewy.” They’re a good size and the shapes are somewhat distinguishable (but that is not as important as flavor and texture). There are plenty in the bag and the packaging is nice and re-sealable.

  15. Kristina D.

These vegan gummies are just OK. Me and my partner tried them one night while we were watching movies and eating snacks. There are some big pros to these, which is that they are vegan, and free of a big list of allergens for those who may have very sensitive diets, so that is a huge plus. I also really love that they do not contain corn syrup. My biggest complain though is that the texture of these is not that good. I prefer gummies to be on the firmer side, rather than too chewy. These are more squishy (like a gummy worm kind of?) and so for me that’s the big downfall really. The flavour is more mild, and they are not overly sweet (which is ok for me).My partner did not like these very much, but has eaten some of the bag. I think they are “Just ok” but I would not purchase again due to the texture, personally.

  16. Sarah

I received Freedom Confectionery Gummi Mojis – Vegan Emoji-Shaped Gummies with Natural Flavors – Gelatine-Free, Gluten-Free & Allergen-Free Candy – Perfect for Snacking, Sharing, or Vegan Gifts – 6oz in the emoji shapes. It comes with 6 oz of gummies. I really like the flavors because they have a light fruity flavor. But I really wish they were actually sour. The quality seems ok. Overall, they taste the way they are supposed to, except they aren’t sour. At $10 for 6oz, I feel like this product is a poor value.

  17. Kelle|Kelle

I love gummy candy of all sorts, so I was excited to give these Vegan gummies a try! I am especially a fan of naturally flavored and colored gummy candy, and it can be hard to find sometimes. These candies have good texture and consistency when you chew them, but there just isn’t a whole lot of flavor. I am disappointed in the lack of ‘fruitiness’, but even more disappointing is that these are supposed to be SOUR gummies, and there is not a hint of sour anywhere to be found. The sugar coating just makes the flavor profile overly sweet, and masks the actual flavors. If I were to have paid full price for these, at just under $10, I would be pretty irritated. They are REALLY expensive compared to other naturally flavored gummy candies, and they just aren’t that good. I definitely wouldn’t purchase them again, even at half the price.

  18. K. Chan|K. Chan

The Freedom Confectionery Sour Gummi Mojis is a good option if you’re looking for a delicious gummy that will suit most people’s dietary restrictions. These gummies are similar to fruit snacks in texture. They’re not like gummy bears, but they have a slightly sticky texture that clings to your teeth. The outer grains on the gummy are not sour, and the gummy itself wasn’t sour either. These were just sweet, but not artificially or cloyingly so. They tasted like Fruit Gems candies, and while they were good, they weren’t sour or exceptional. I liked how each piece was small and offered me a little hit of sweetness, but I wouldn’t trade these for other brands of sour gummies unless I needed specifically made gummies that were allergen free. These are great to ensure everyone can eat these treats without any allergies flaring up, but I probably would stick with other brands when I want a truly sour treat.

  19. Alli Peterson

Let me start this review by saying that I am not vegan, nor have I had a lot of experience with vegan gummy candies. However, I am very familiar with gummy candies in general, whether regular or low-sugar.The shapes are fun, though not always easy to tell what it’s supposed to be. The texture is true to what I’d expect for a gummy candy… just enough chew without being too rubbery, and not too soft either. The taste is fruity, but not intense, and definitely NOT sour as the bag describes… which was my biggest disappointment and reason for rating these 3 stars instead of 4 or 5.If I wanted a good, regular gummy that was vegan-friendly, I’d get these again. But I prefer sour gummies so these aren’t quite right for me.

  20. mha

These taste pretty good, but don’t expect them to taste like other super sugary gummy candies. The texture is nice, I love that they’re vegan, kosher, halal, no artificial dyes, etc. And still have the taste and texture that doesn’t feel like you’re sacrificing anything by eating these. They’re not super sweet though they’re coated in sugar and citric acid, the quality of the gummies are also really good and you can make out all of the shapes and colors. The only thing I would change about these is to make all of the raspberries one set of emojis, the strawberry another set, the lemon a different set, and so on, just because it’s difficult to tell the orange apart from the strawberry and if you’re specifically trying to avoid one of them, it would be really helpful to be able to skip an entire set of emojis, rather than trying to decipher if what you’re holding is red or orange, in the dark while watching a movie with the tv screen as your only light source. Also, there’s bleed over with some colors, like I got a lemon piece with crisp of raspberry in it, which should not happen on accident… although side note: half lemon/half raspberry mix is insanely good, they should be their own flavor option!

  21. Margo|Margo

Wow, I see these black currants always growing in my garden in my back yard with my mulberry trees. I never knew that they might serve to be beneficial in some ways. These gummies are yummy with a delicious splash of rich flavors. The package came with an lots of citrus, orange, strawberry and raspberry. I got a 6oz bag with lots of gummies inside. They are so sweet with all these adorable little bears. The flavor is delightful and gives a powerful sensational taste of fruits. Some of the ingredients listed on the bag are concentrate of carrot and black currant, sunflower oil, concentrate of radish, lemon and black currant and paprika extract. Black currants have been known to have many health benefits. But it’s possible it could have some drawbacks like most everything else out there. I would say if you had a bleeding disorder or about to have surgery, I would check with my doctor to see if you can have these delicious snacks. I would say if you had low blood pressure, pregnancy or are breast feeding or if you were a diabetic I would check with my doctor before eating these snacks. These snacks are irresistible and once you start you probably would eat the whole bag in no time. So, check with your doctor to see if you can eat the black currant fruit. And especially if you are taking any medication. Other than that, these little yummy gummies are delicious. Video is not working right so I included pictures

  22. J T

These vegan gummy bears have a different texture compared to regular gelatin-based gummy bears. They are squishy to a point, but then crumples pleasantly under the force of your bite. They do not stick to your teeth or remain completely squishy down to the last little piece the way regular gummy bears are like. They have a gentle level of sweetness that’s just right, with fruity flavors that are much more noticeable and distinct compared to regular gummy bears.I also rather like that these gummies are free of a lot of common allergens found in regular snacks. The bag is decently sized at 6 ounces. It feels initially pretty pricey given the price it’s selling at, but I still find these gummy bears to be a fair value for the money considering that they are vegan and more of an allergen free health food rather than just a regular snack. They also taste good enough to qualify as some sort of gourmet candy in my book, and that also justifies their somewhat higher price.Overall, I’m happy to recommend these gummies for vegans who are looking for a tasty snack that can still satisfy their dietary requirement, and just people who are interested in trying a more gourmet version of the common gummy bear, in general.

  23. Heather|Heather

Most gummy bears have gelatin in them, so I can’t eat them as a vegan. I like that more and more vegan gummy options are coming out. These are really flavorful and sweet. I don’t think that each individual flavor is super distinct, but they are really good. I ate the whole bag in one sitting. It was a pretty good size. I felt satisfied afterwards, and not like there needed to be more in the bag. The ingredients look pretty clean and I like that the brand tries to avoid common allergens and ingredients that aren’t friendly for every type of diet/lifestyle. I would definitely order these again!

  24. TailoredBohemian|TailoredBohemian

These are yummy! And chewy. And a little addictive. Good fresh, natural type flavors that taste real and not an overly processed fake taste like some other brands. There’s only four flavors/colors, each good on their own and jive well together too. A range of citrus and berry type / fruity. Just the right amount of sweetness for me and a nice aftertaste too.Really good quality, thick bag/package to keep the gummy bears fresh and did not give them a weird taste, a major plus with me. It also reseals. Lots of info on package about being allergen-free and all natural ingredients, including coloring etc, another plus. Non-gmo, vegan, gluten free, and other good quality choices for food. And there’s options on bag to scan info to find out even more details about ingredients if you need to. PLUS—These are from the EU [Europe], which is great, because they have much stricter standards and laws than USA pertaining to food, beauty, and most ingredients, chemicals, etc. Yesss.I’d recommend, a sweet little candy treat made with good ingredients, packaging, and altogether great quality.

  25. knitnats

My husband and I eat vegan so this was a nice treat to find. These gummy bears are gelatin free and have natural colors and flavors. They are appropriately chewy with a good flavor that doesn’t feel overly sugary or chemical. The colors are yellow, lighter orange, darker orange, and a purple. I did find it funny that the colors shown on the bag are actually completely wrong as there is no blue, pink, green, etc. So, just something to be aware of.I also liked that these are allergen free – there’s an extensive list on the back of the bag. One thing to note is that they do have carageegen, which I know some people do try to avoid (although not an issue for my household). Overall, happy with this treat?

  26. MooreNotLess|MooreNotLess

I eat a lot of vegan and vegetarian things, and some of them aren’t great, so I thought I would give these and try to see how they are.I am happy to report that these taste great! They are awesome non-gelatin gummies. I had multiple people test these out, including children, and everyone thought that they were delicious. The only problem, is that because everyone loved them, they went pretty fast. They are pretty comparable to with a little different texture to gelatin gummies, but it is not off putting at all. They are also a little smaller than the “standard” gummies you might get, but really that is ok since there are a fair amount of them in a bag.I feel like they are a little pricey for what you get, but I think the value is there given how good these are and the fact that these are vegan. So if you are vegan and are missing the taste of gummies, these are a great option to try!

  27. Reag|Reag

I recently tried the Freedom Confectionery Gummi Mojis, and I was pleasantly surprised and my son loves it too. These vegan emoji-shaped gummies have a delightful fruity flavor and the texture is perfectly chewy without the gelatin. It’s great to find a treat that’s not only gluten-free and allergen-free but also fun to share. The 6oz bag is just the right size for snacking or giving as a thoughtful gift. Overall, they’re a hit in my household, and I can’t recommend them enough for anyone looking for a tasty, guilt-free treat.

  28. Tangerine Peel Peanuts|Tangerine Peel Peanuts

My impression of vegan anything is still stuck at the early stages where nothing they tried to copy tasted anything like the real thing so this was a pleasant surprise. As far as gummies go, I didn’t notice anything off in terms of texture, chew, or flavor. It could pass for a peach ring or something similar easily. Vegan gummies have come a long way since I last tried them. The only thing I’ll note is that they weren’t sour at all, being sugar dusted. I think they might’ve forgotten to dust it w/ sour powder for my bag, but that’s an easy fix. The real focus is on the gummy since you can dust most anything w/ sugar. 5/5 for authenticity. Value will depend on your lifestyle choices.

  29. Alex

So these come in an easy to open resealable bag and the gummi bears themselves are soft and chewy but less chewy than the original German ones. There’s a sweetness, but unlike most other gummy candies, it’s not all sugar and you can definitely taste other flavors in there, which can be a welcome change if that’s what you’re seeking. Personally, it tastes more natural to me than the more pure sugar flavor of standard gummy candy. At 67 calories for 5 pieces, it’s not too awful as long as you can stop yourself from having the entire thing in one sitting.

  30. Jen|Jen

The Freedom Confectionery Gummi Bears are made with plant-based ingredients and had a tasty flavor. They taste different than traditional gummies and had a waxy taste but they were chewy and enjoyable. The flavors include lemon, strawberry, raspberry, and orange. The waxy texture takes some getting used to and the size of each gummi bear was smaller than usual. I liked the gluten free, allergen-free ingredients. I think it’s a good value for your money and to try something new. 5 pieces are 67 calories and have 14G of sugar. Overall, this product is worth checking out!

  31. Kahuna|Kahuna

These delightful gummies offer an exceptional sensory experience. They are incredibly fresh and possess a perfectly soft, satisfyingly chewy texture that isn’t sticky or tough. Each piece bursts with a vibrant, natural flavor that is truly delicious. Adding a playful touch, they are molded into charming and expressive emoji shapes. They arrive securely packaged in a convenient resealable bag and are crafted with care, being completely free of common allergens, GMOs, and corn syrup, while also holding both Kosher and Halal certifications.

  32. Jen|Jen

So, the Gummies taste pretty good. My son says they taste flavorful but that it has a different texture. The colors on the package are vibrant. The bears are pink, blue, green, and orange. The colors in reality are very washed out and are actually dark red, yellow, peach, and orange. Why show colors on the package that are not real and true. It’s weird to me. You normally show what’s in the package. There’s no problem the gummies are the colors they are, even though they are pretty blah. The problem is why make them look all fun and vibrant when they are not. Not even close to the same colors except for orange.I like that it’s non GMO and that it’s free of a lot of allergens, but look at the attached pic and see which ones are mentioned. For 5 gummies(21g), it is 14 grams of sugar!!!! That is not good at all. That’s high for that small amount of gummies. The average gummies do have 14-22 grams of sugar, but it is for 13-14 pieces (30-40 g).They sounded really good, but after looking at the above, I cannot recommend them.
