Valentines Mallow Heart Cookies

How do you celebrate Valentines? These Heart Mallow Shortbread cookies are the perfect thing to gift your valentines or little loves this year! @ohthatvegangirl_ has created these super cute hearts and Here’s how to make them!

Shortbread

1 cup plain flour
1/2 cup butter
1/4 cup icing sugar
Optional vanilla extract
(You can increase or decrease this however you like keeping to to the 321 ratio, this makes 10 nice biscuits and three misshapen to keep to yourself)

Topping
1 bag @freedommallows mini marshmallows (pink and white)
1tbsp maple or golden syrup

To make add all ingredients to stand mixer with dough hook (or do by hand if you’re not lazy like me)
Mix until a ball forms, roll out onto a floured surface to about 1/2cm thick, and cut out biscuits, bake at 180 for 12 mins or until golden.

To make the topping, set a bowl over a pan of boiling water, add the full bag of mallows, and melt stirring often, once they start to melt fold in the syrup, until all melted completely, it can take some time for the mallows to melt so just be patient.

Once melted, spread the fluff on your biscuits, you will need to work fairly quickly as it will set at it cools, and then you could wrap them in a cute box for the perfect gift 💕
